Could you please post solutions for Maths in Action Unit 2 book, further integration pg 86, questions 2b,d,e 3b, 5 and 7?
Will write some up, but just for speed.
2b will have inverse tan as an integral and need Bx+C in Partial Fractions
d Will need Bx + C need to try to see if a trick in Q
e needs long division as higher power on numerator before you begin
3b REPEATED IbyPs and use 3×2 to diff as will never disappear otherwise
5 PS means y = ??? so sep of variables when integrate don’t forget + C
7 Gradient => this is dy/dx given to integrate let u = (1-x^2) and substitution shall reduce it down nicely,
although a fraction may appear. Family just means +c can be the sketch pushed up or down, so same sketch but raised or lower so look parallel to each other but transformed by + C

Hi Sofia, hope your exam went well. I plan to write solutions, but pretty busy so hope to get them up by next week…. Unless I manage earlier if I get time, so you’ll be able to check soon.
Remember i am only guessing where marks are awarded, so it’ll just be a guide.
